Overview

Program Objective

This Program is fully delivered online via Mawhiba E-Learning Portal, outside regular school hours. It targets student in Grades 1 through 9 who have been nominated based on their performance in Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT), as part of the National Program for Gifted Identification. The Program aims to provide gifted students with broader and more in-depth learning experiences than those typically offered in standard school settings. It aims to motivate students to delve into a wider range of mathematical and scientific concepts, thereby unlocking their full potential.

 

Note: In order to be eligible for nomination to this Program, students must first be registered in the National Program for Gifted Identification.

 

Program justification

This program provides gifted students with in-depth learning opportunities that enrich their school curriculum. It offers them the Mawhiba (gifted) curriculum in science and mathematics, designed in collaboration with international and Arab experts and largely aligned with the Ministry of Education's curriculum, thus challenging the abilities of gifted students. The curriculum is taught by specialized teachers who are able to meet the needs and interests of gifted students. The program also serves students who were unable to participate in Mawhiba classes at partner schools.

Mawhiba Advanced Curricula

Mawhiba curricula are structured around three core pillars:


• Values, Attitudes, and Advanced Traits: Such as inquiry, resilience, creativity, independent learning, openness to diverse alternatives, and perseverance.


• Advanced Knowledge and Understanding: Such as conceptual clarity, comprehension of mathematical and scientific topics and their principles, grasping overarching ideas, using proofs, scientific inquiry, and understanding the fundamental structure of mathematics and science.


• Advanced Skills: Such as logical thinking, reasoning, forming abstract mental representations, connecting acquired skills with everyday life contexts and problems, fluency, precision in application, communication skills and tools, metacognitive abilities, generalization, and modeling.

Program Features

This Program provides enrolled gifted students with in-depth learning opportunities that enrich and challenge their abilities beyond what is offered in their regular schooling.


• Students are taught by specialized teachers who are equipped to meet the needs and interests of gifted students by teaching Mawhiba's tailored science and mathematics curricula.

Students enrolled in the National Program for Gifted Identification who are currently in grades 4 through 9. 

 

Conditions for nomination into the program

1. The student must have achieved a score of 1500 or higher on the Mawhiba Multiple Intelligences Scale for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026.

2. The student must be enrolled in the current academic year in one of the following grades: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th.

3. The student must not be currently enrolled in Mawhiba classes within school partnership programs. Students who are eligible for Mawhiba classes but have not yet been accepted are eligible to enroll in the Mawhiba Advanced Program. If a student is accepted into a Mawhiba class program at a partner school after being accepted into the Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Mathematics, they will be given the option to choose between the two programs.

   

Program registration requirements

1. The student must be a Saudi citizen or the child of a Saudi mother. Non-Saudi students may be accepted, provided they do not exceed 10% of the total number of students admitted to the program.

2. A financial contribution of SAR 500 (excluding VAT) must be paid within one hour of completing registration to confirm the seat reservation and finalize the student's enrollment in the program.

3. The student must choose the track that best suits their schedule: the Saturday track (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) or the Midweek track (4:00 PM to 5:30 PM). (Hours may vary during the holy month of Ramadan.)

Cancelltion and Refund Policy

Cancellation and refund requests shall be submitted through the website only. This must be done within the time frame allowed for canceling registration in the Programs of a refundable fees, in accordance with the Foundation’s policy in this regard. Then, the cancellation request is processed and the fees is returned within 30 days of accepting the refund request, after deducting (10%) of its value, provided that the value of the deducted amount is not less than SAR (150).

Program Delivery Method
The Program is delivered online via Mawhiba E-Learning Portal, catering to gifted students across all regions of the Kingdom.
Number of Weekly Support Hours

Three hours per week (two hours per week during the holy month of Ramadan)

Support Days

Support in Mawhiba Advanced Program will be provided through one of the following tracks:

• Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, according to the Program's academic calendar (see academic calendar page).


• Sundays and Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, according to the Program's academic calendar (see academic calendar page). *Outside the school hours specified by the Ministry of Education.

Eligible Grade Levels for This Year

From grade 4 to grade 9.

Language of Instruction

The program is offered in Arabic for all targeted grades from fourth grade to ninth grade. The final exam is in the language of instruction.

The program is also offered in English for grades four and seven, and the final exam is in the language of instruction.

The Program is delivered in Arabic and conducted entirely online via Mawhiba E-Learning Portal throughout the academic year.

The Program is divided into two tracks. Students must choose their preferred track upon registration and will not be allowed to change later.

What is the Program duration throughout the academic year?

The Program runs for 20 weeks per academic year, with an average of 3 hours of instruction per week, depending on the selected track.

What tracks are available in the Program, and does each track require a different number of hours?

There are two tracks available for the Program, and students can choose the one that suits them best:

• Track One: (Saturday Track): Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, according to the Program's academic calendar.


• Track Two: (Midweek Track): Sundays and Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, according to the Program's academic calendar.

 

There is absolutely no difference in the total number of Program hours between the two tracks; the only difference lies in how the study hours are distributed.

Are students evaluated during the Program?

Yes, student performance is evaluated in three separate periods throughout the academic year:

 

• First Period Evaluation: Conducted shortly before the end of the first semester.

• Second Period Evaluation: Conducted shortly before the end of the second semester.

• Annual Examination (Final Examination): Held immediately after the Program concludes in the third academic semester.

Are the virtual classrooms co-educational?

No, virtual classrooms for male students are separate from those for female students.

Does Mawhiba provide financial support to students in this Program?

Yes, specific student categories are partially exempt from paying Program fees. Details can be found in the registration system.

Can the Mawhiba Classes Program be combined with the Mawhiba Advanced Program?

No. The parent is responsible for verifying that the student is not registered in both programs at the same time. If this is proven, Mawhiba has the right to cancel the student’s registration in any of the Partnership Programs.

The student must pay the fees after registering in the system within one hour of registration, in order for his/her final registration in the Program to be approved. In the event of non-payment within that period, the registration will be automatically cancelled and the student shall be unregistered with the Program.

What is the policy followed if there is a desire to cancel registration in the Program?

Cancellation and refund requests shall be submitted through the website only. This must be done within the time frame allowed for canceling registration in the Programs of a refundable fees, in accordance with the Foundation’s policy in this regard. What is the Program's fees amount?

The amount of the fees to register in the Program is SAR 500, excluding VAT, which shall be paid through the available payment options.

Can I withdraw from the Program during the implementation phase?

Yes, if the student wishes to withdraw from the Program, he/she can submit a withdrawal request, explaining the reasons for the request, to Mawhiba through the customer service system or by sending an email to mcare@mawhiba.org.sa. Please note that the withdrawal request does not include a refund of the fees amount.

How can a student know the start date of the Program?

The Program start date and study times are specified in the registration system. We hope you review them to verify that the dates are suitable for the student before reserving a seat.

How can a student know the department and the arrangement of the Program’s classes?

The student will be notified of the name of the department along with a link to the Program’s academic schedule, through text messages, in addition to the exam dates, on the parent’s phone number registered in the application. The student can find out this information through his/her account on the Mawhiba E-Learning Portal. The Program schedule is also published on the Program’s page on the official website.

Where can I find the Program's schedule?

 The detailed study schedule is added to the registration system for each Track in the (Program/Course Overview) box.

Is the student required to attend all virtual classes?

A certificate of attendance will not be issued to the student unless the attendance rate exceeds 70% of the hours required for the entire Program.

How can a student or parent communicate with teachers?

Through the Mawhiba E-Learning Platform, the student can communicate directly with any of their teachers via the messaging feature throughout the Program.

Is the parent notified of the student's absence from classes periodically?

The parent is notified via text messages about the student’s absence for the first week only to verify that there is no problem preventing the student from properly accessing the virtual classes. Otherwise, the parent can inquire directly from the teacher or system administrator about the hours of absence through the messaging system in the student’s account on the Mawhiba E-Learning Platform.

Why is the Program available remotely, not in person?

The Advanced Mawhiba Program in Science and Mathematics is the parallel program to the Mawhiba Classes Program, which is implemented in person in many cities of the Kingdom, and is offered entirely remotely in order to serve all qualified students all over the Kingdom.

One of the difficulties we may face is that the payment icon does not appear during registration, or the sharing icon does not appear. What shall we do?

Please use the Google Chrome browser when trying to register with a smartphone or computer to view the registration page correctly.

How can I pay the fees to the Program?

Electronic payment is currently available on the system, and the parent can use the appropriate cards available to them.

I registered for a Track and want to move to another one. How can I do that?

If the fees have been paid and the registration request status becomes (approved), the transfer request can be submitted directly through the system by clicking on the (Request to transfer to another course) icon. Then choose the course you wish to transfer to.

If the application status is (pending/awaiting payment) and the fees have not been paid, it is preferable to wait until the payment deadline specified in the invoice expires and the registration status is updated to (cancelled).

Then register again in the Program in the Track you want.

How can I view the status of my exemption request?

The status of the exemption request can be viewed through the registration system by clicking on the partial exemption request icon.

If the exemption request is returned by the registration officer, please modify the request according to the note received, attach the required documents, and then click on the (Modify) icon to resubmit the request.

What is the deadline after which a student's registration is considered cancelled?

If payment is not made within one hour of registration, registration will be automatically cancelled and the student will be considered not registered in the Program.

When can a student submit a transfer request between Tracks, and when may the transfer request be accepted?

The student can request a transfer between Tracks after paying the fees through the registration system. The transfer request is automatically accepted in the system if there is a vacancy in the Track to which he/she wishes to transfer before the end of the registration time frame.

If I have a question or comment (during the Program period), how can I contact the Program Management?

You can contact the Program Management directly by sending an inquiry or request to the System Manager in the Advanced Mawhiba Program through the student’s account on the Mawhiba E-Learning Platform.

Is transfer between Tracks (Saturday Track, Midweek Track) available?

Transfer is available between Tracks during the registration time frame only and is subject to seat availability in the Track to which you wish to transfer.

The transfer is done directly through the student’s account in the registration system without the need to submit a request to Mawhiba.

Is the transfer available during the academic year?

Due to the limited number of seats in each Track, transfer is available during the registration time frame only as per the availability of seats in the Track you want to transfer to, so please make sure to choose the appropriate track for the student at the time of registration and check that there is no conflict between the dates of sports activities and other programs the student is enrolled in during the academic year.
