The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has secured second place globally in terms of total Grand Awards won at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2025, held in Columbus, Ohio, USA—second only to the United States. This national achievement marks yet another milestone in the Kingdom’s ongoing success on the global scientific stage, having claimed the same prestigious ranking at ISEF 2024.
The Saudi National Team, comprising 40 male and female students, garnered a total of 23 international awards, including 14 Grand Awards and 9 Special Awards. They competed against more than 1,700 students representing 70 countries from across the globe.
ISEF is recognized as the world’s largest and most prestigious platform for high school research and innovation projects. Participating projects are evaluated by a distinguished panel of global scientists and experts, offering students a rare and distinguished opportunity to showcase their scientific capabilities on an international stage.
